Lyra's Muse Dance Company 04/2007-11/2009

Lyras Muse was founded in April, 2007. It was a multi-genre performing dance group that specialized in jazz, tap, character, lyrical, and roller skate dancing. The Company performed at festivals, fairs, erotic art shows, and parades throughout the Oklahoma City metro. The dance company was always family-friendly and unique to our area. It was formed because of the lack of dance performance opportunities in Oklahoma City for adults.

The group changed members in December 2008 and shortly after its director opened Teaze Dance & Fitness, the dance company was re-organized and renamed. We plan to keep the information about Lyra's Muse on our websites because it documents our history and experience. We celebrate Lyra's Muse because it was only a hobby dance group to give adult dancers a way to continue their love for dance beyond our college years. None of us ever imagined that it would inspire and evolve into a successful business that would bring customers from as far as kansas, Arkansas, and Texas. Customers come from hundreds of miles away to try the unique classes and private parties that we offer.
